I can try and make the 21st. I am supposed to work that weekend and I have to ask for time off a month in advance, so we'll see.

What kind of lift?

There should be lots of hands available.

As many pairs of hands as there are people. Except for Jay of course...he'll shine your chrome and paint your calipers though!

It's a 2 inch pro comp spring lift with mx-6 shocks. I also have 3/4 inch spacers to go up front to level out the rake. Mostly I am lazy and keep telling myself that I shouldn't attempt to do this by myself without adult supervision. If I can make it down and haven't conned someone else into helping me by then I'll prolly throw the boxes in the jeep with me. Random off topic question to those who have lifted TJ's, my lift came with two bar pins, is that all there are supposed to be? Should I have 4? Are there already bar pins on my current shocks which I could reuse or do I need to buy some more?

Mine had 4, but you may be able to reuse the ones that are there. Mine looked identical to the ones I replaced. I would look at the parts list that came with your lift and see if you have everything, I had to go to ACE and buy a couple bolts that were missing, I would also go look at your jeep and see if you think you can reuse whats there.

I'd be glad to help you install your lift, but I'm no expert. I did mine by myself in my driveway, but it took a couple days since I had never done anything like it before.

good luck

3" lift? I think the general rule is 15 minutes per inch of lift

what a perfectly good excuse for me to go down to the ranch and visit my parents. however my sisters wedding is that day and i doubt my parents would be home, so i cannot make the 21st.

It can be a mod party as well. The 4 Wheel Parts show I think is the 15th, so it may be a good time to score some new mods and have several people together at once to help install.

Thinking July 21st.

As usual, all spouses, girl friends, kids, and partners (Arlo) are invited.

We will have hotdogs, brauts, and hamburgers already at the house- probably will need to bring what ever to drink.

That is six people so far that can make the 21st, so we'll just call it the 21st.

Anyone have mod plans for that day? Anyone going to the 4WP show the weekend before?
We would be interested but may want to run a trail instead as I only have two free weekends in July. When, Where and Why??

I cannot make the 4wheelparts show.

Also, might have a Warn rear bumper/tire carrier available for sale (cheap) that could be swapped out at the BBQ. Feeler for right now, but may change after the 4WP show.
Stick with the 21st that was I good choice of dates for once.

Why:
Had a great time and a great turn out last year! We went through dozens of hamburgers and it was an opportunity for families who share a commonality (jeeps) to get together.

I completely understand if you end up running a trail, but really hope you and your wife and daughter can make it!
