I'd love to go but I already have tickets to the CSU football game that I paid for. I am probably going to go some where on Friday and/or Sunday. Have fun and take a lot of pictures.

Do you guys mind a newbie going with you. Does any one know if they is a place at or close to the trail head where I can park a truck and traielr? My CJ is not a very good highway vehicle.

Depends...Attached is an arial shot of the trailhead...I am pretty sure you'll be able to fit a trailer+tow rig in there.

And yes, noobies are very welcome

Only other shot I have of the trailhead area:

Last time I was there we did lots of this

Your more than wlecome to come along. I am sure there will be plenty of parking as the trail head is on the camp dick side so there should be plenty of room.

See you saturday!

Both...you have to do 95% of bunce to do the crash sight...

I think we are doing both. The crash site is off of Bunce, so I don't see any reason not to do more than one trail. I think the crash site is only a mile long trail, so I'm sure we'd have ample time to hit another one.

Here is an overview...for reference you can see MSV (Middle St. Vrain) in the lower left and Miller Rock on the right.

The Bunce School Rd. starts on the top, leads south west. The first spur heading North is the Iron Clads and the second spur headed North (nearly at the end of the trail) is the crash sight.

Have you heard anything about the status of the trail? Just wondering, as the last trip report I saw of the area was MSV, and it looked like there was a good layer of ice on the crossing. But that was a while ago...
