To give us a break before and after the trip. If it were just the two of us we would be going Sat to Sun, but with Riley it just doesn't work to be gone the whole time. Same reason I got the truck and trailer for the long trips.

Plus as your starting to see there are things that have to get done around the house as well.

I am trying to figure out if that'll work for me or not (I am not infringing I hope am I? I don't think I invited myself...)

I might so Saturday to Sunday assuming we could meet up on Sunday easily.

Depending on Erin's schedule (becuase I know she'd like to go as well), I might be able to come as well. I don't want to invite myself along either, so I hope I'm not doing that. But I could be some company on the way down, Ryan.

Erin and yourself are more than welcome. Should be a good time. I am planning on it being a little slower pace than MOAB was. I have added goof off days into the mix this time. And with the date change we can all go down at the same time.

Later,

Don

Yeah- we needed more days out there to slow it down.

Now lets get down to business. The only weekend in Sept that it looks we could all get together to run Holy Cross is 29-30SEPT. Is this a trip that we could put together? I really want to get Holy Cross in this year. I would like to make a day trip if we could so an early start would be necessary.

Any Takers?

The next item up for discussion is Mt Antero, Grizzly Lake, Iron Chest. The next weekend that we can all get together is 27-28 Oct.

What do you all think of this?

Don- I thought Holy Cross, Grizzly Lake, and Iron Chest were all in the same area?

How far is Mt Antero from the others?

I'm good for both of those weekends.

Another thought was to do a weekend trip and do HC, GL, and IC together (over two days).

I'm good for both of those weekends as far as I know. I'm with Jay with this one though- why not try to make it a weekend thing, camp down there, and hit at least 2 of those 3 trails? I think making HC a one day thing would make for a REALLY long day.
