Hey guys, I'm heading to French Lake Auto Parts this Saturday. Anybody looking for something in particular, not the usual D44 or skid plates? Not even sure if they'll have many Jeeps, I'm really going for Kaiser parts.
I have never been to french lake, what did you think???? I should go some time and look around.
Like I said, I was really there for Kaiser parts. For classic cars, this place is the best around. They have actually held on to the old autos, and kept them well organized. The guys working there are great. I picked up the "Kaiser" scripts off a '52 and the horn buttons off a '48 and '52. I am sure I can eBay them for triple what I paid.
I only saw three Cherokees and one Comanche, but I didn't look any further because the first I saw was the Wagoneer with the 44. I did see some old Willys flat fenders and wagons. I saw a few postals too, but I didn't get over to the old truck hill.
If you are looking for a specific vehicle or part, call them up. I had a blast.
I would go to eagle mountain, since it is only 45 minutes away from me, but i do not have the tires for it yet and i cannot find any anywhere. and also i leave next monday for a week to go hunting in north dakota, so i have to get my thing ready for that.
Had a pretty good day. Woke up early. Had a big breakfast. Did some grocery shopping, and picked up some stuff to clean up the D44. I just took apart a clock I took out of a '52 Kaiser. I couldn't get it working, but the one out of the '53 still works.
Time for a beer.
I think I'm gonna do fish for dinner. Maybe I'll make a couple pumpkin pies. Seems like a good day to make pie.
