Well, the XJ just turned over 100k today, so I guess it's finally broken in. Changed the oil, air filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, greased all the zerks in the front end, fixed a broken exhaust hanger.. pulled the rear sway bar while I had the tools out. Hopefully my JKS discos will be here sometime soon..

Actually, that is what I'm doing because my rig is no where near ready, its still a DD and I need it to be for a while yet. A bunch of people from the local 4X4 club go every year and I've got a seat promised to me (most likely with a nutcase nobody else will go with) so it should be a blast. Call up your local club and ask, I'm pretty sure someone has an open spot. I'm pitching in for the truck pass so as to haul my own weight in the deal.

not too bad... roads here in St. Cloud are mostly just wet in town, BUT out in the country on my way home I almost ended up having to get my YJ to pull my little DD (04 Cavalier) out of the ditch... wind and 7+ inch snow drifts across the back roads makes it a fun drive for a car with a factor Plow (bumper) ...

Yeah, im at the shop now and its still snowing like crazy. One of the mechanics and I plowed the entire lot together, and within 20 minutes it loooked the same as it did. I get to plow it before I leave again, but it also sucks because every car that comes on the lift drips in your face...My Jeep is up on the lift right now I am looking at the stupid o2 sensor problem and found I have a leaky muffler.

I left work a little early today due to the snow and what not. It wasn't too bad until i got about 5 miles from home and I was averaging 30mph for that trek. It could probably quit snowing anytime soon.

Just checking in. Bought a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Sport about a week ago. I "broke it in" last weekend, while heading up towards Crosslake, MN. My parents used to have a cabin just South of Pillager, MN, and I remembered some good Minimum Maintanance Roads that we used to ATV on. Sure enough, none were plowed and were full of snow and mud. Had a great time, even though nothing was more than 6 inches deep.

Thinking about heading up to Gilbert one of these weekends. How would a stock Wrangler do with a rookie behind the wheel? By the way, my cabin is on the Whitefish Chain, which is located about twenty minutes from Spider Lake area. Can't wait for that to open.

harleysbluff, awesome first post! haha

anyway, I have yet to go to gilbert, but from what I hear its noob, rookie, and pro friendly. Just take what you can handle, and slowly progess I guess. It would help to bring a buddy too. Stock wranglers are pretty capable, as with most Jeeps. Just dont get too carried away without any recovery options

welcome muskyslayr and harleysbluff

harleysbluff, ive got a cousin that has a cabin up on the whitefish chain. it used to be his grand parents but theyve passed on...i think he still owns it. i hope so because i really wanted to make a trip up there this summer. there is a guy that lives across from his cabin that has a bunch of trails on his property. we borrow the neighbors atvs and hit it up every summer but this summer, since i have a jeep, id like to take my cherokee on some of the trails. anywho, do you know where im talking about?

Aircruiser -

No idea. Can you be more specific? I'm on Lower Hay Lake, which is the most West and South lake on the chain. I've heard there are jeep trails just north of the Whitefish Chain, but I have yet to be on them. Maybe this weekend, if I don't go up to Gilbert.
