This is a fantastic idea. I'll be out of the state Feb. 20 - 24th but any other day I'm in!

Anyone have a trailer hitch laying around for an XJ? Guy at work his son just picked one up for 250 bux. Nothing wrong with it. Very minimal rust. I wish I would have know about that deal.

Welcome and good luck.
Thanks for the welcome! My friend rented spring compressors from AutoZone... in his exact words, "they sucked". Did you run into any difficulties installing your spring spacers and how do you like them?

Maybe, but at least we know how to drive in the snow and ice. Well, most of us. :P

Grain Belt Premium Beer FTW!
Installation was easy on my ZJ, I just had a little trouble with the spring compressors was all. At Oriellies you don't rent them. Basically you buy them then return them for what you paid. All they did was extend their return policy quite a bit and call it their tool loan program. And technically you need to get the strut compressor from them. For my vehicle the spring compressor was all wrong.
And if you haven't tried the Grain Belt Nordeast yet you need to give it a go.

Lame sauce, I've got another vibration to sort out now. Just replaced my left rear axle shaft and both axle bearings too. I'm thinking possibly a shot u-joint? It seems to vibrate most at certain speeds, and really only when I give it gas. It rattles my door panels when it gets bad, usually around 35mph or 65+mph.

I have yet to crawl underneath to try shaking my drive shafts.

If your ZJ has a CV joint on the front of the (front) driveshaft, check that as well. I just replaced mine. Before that, you couldn't drive over 30 without the truck shaking itself to death.

+1 on Nordeast.

would anyone be interested in my old xj's drivetrain, interior and shell, minus front axle? i may have found a V8 ZJ for cheap and im thinking of putting in the HP30 out of mine after i gear it, an 8.8, 4.5" lift and 33s.. i love my ZJ and would love to have one to wheel too. XJs are fun but the 4.slow doesnt really have the power i want offroad. but who knows..we will see how it all works out.

Nice! Yeah, ZJs and WJs are underrated.
You might want to swap over the transcase too.

Hmm... I'm just curious to see if there may be any interest in a 3" custom exhaust for a ZJ?

I just bought a 3" custom exhaust from Kolak, a vender here on Jeep forum and I'm thinking I might sell it now and do some other things with the money. It comes with the custom mandrel bent pipe, magnaflow converter, flowmaster 70 suv series muffler, and both mopar o2 sensors. I paid $500 total for the kit, I'd probably be willing to part with it for $400 obo? Not really interested in shipping this stuff so I'd have to be picked up.

If not Ill just keep the stuff and wait a few months to install it.
