I'm not sure what you mean by the "605" unless it's area code. I just moved to Yankton from Bakersfield if that's any help. My jeep is in the garage until I get more things unpacked. Come spring I will be looking for trails and places to shoot.

When you "east river" guys want to come out the the hills, let me know.
We've got lots of wheel'n trails in the Black Hills.
I can get you hooked up with our local club.

My wife has a friend that lives in Sturgis. We will probably visit her in the spring or summer. Are there any good trails around there?

That would be great to look you up. I'm in the Midwest Hummer club also and we were just up there a few months back and did camp 5. I left the Hummer home and drove the Rubi up there with them and it was a blast but nobody really knew any of the trails. I know some of us were thinking of coming up there in Feb. to do alittle wheeling, it would be cool to get another Jeep in with me.Hey is there somewhere to get a trail map of the Hills because like I said I have no clue where they are. What club are you in-- Black Hills Jeeps?

Well maybe we can get our own little group together for a trip to the Hills but we need someone who knows the area. I'd have to look for the name of the Hotel we stayed at outside of Lead. They were very 4x4 friendly.

57058...just 60 miles north of you Mike481. I would think there's be some rough country in your area along the river.

Don't plan on wheel' the cool spots like Hal Johns or any part of Camp 5 during the winter. These areas
actually are part of a "winter closure".
I'm on the board for one of our local clubs. It's called BH4WHEELERS.
I don't know if posting the website's link on this forum is OK or not,,,,,,but with a little creativity I'm sure you can figure it out.
As far as maps are concerned: Good luck. There are forest service maps which dictate where ORV travel is permitted, and what kind of vehicle. ie,,,jeep, quad, horse, hiking, bike, etc.
Finding the trails is tough, unless you've been there. The forest service maps are vague at best. And that's actually a good thing. We (our club and local wheelers) have lost some trails because of careless wheelers from outside of our community.

Anyone been to the ORV park by Pierre? I think I'm going up there tomorrow to check it out.
