Ok.. so tonight is my last night of relative freedom before we have our second child (we are having a baby boy tomorrow) so me and a buddy decided to go down S. Washington past sibley to do a bit of late evening wheeling. This was against my better judgement for two reasons.. one, I just power washed the WJ including the much neglected underparts and put a fresh coat of wax on the paint..two, I have to get up at about 5.30 in the morning to get us ready to head to the hospital. My buddy in his XJ decided to rest his front axle on top of a fallen tree and it took us an hour to get him out.. In the process of yanking him out of there I dug myself into the sand up to my rockers and for a time we were both stuck! I was finally able to yank him off that log and on the way out I slipped into some ruts that must have been made by a monster truck.
To be honest I have never been stuck before, and now I want to get stuck more often.. that was good fun.
Somehow I have sand in my ear..
