I hope to have a few recovery point and modify the front axle, not to mention some good shocks.

ok,got the jeep in today. got a speedo cable, lost the bolts to the rear driveshaft, so I had to buy those, couldnt find a tie rod adjuster, so straightened the one I had, and found out that I needed a speed generator sensor?? I broke the other one when I lost the speedo cable. had to get it from the scrapyard......other than that, not a bad weekend of wheelin

Thats good you could fix that stuff. In another life I would have loved to go to school for mechanics and such. I'd love to just be able to dig in and do stuff.

It would also help to have a garage.

I dont have a garage, but I do have the shop where I work, and the owner is gracious enough to let me wrench there as well.

So I had a co-worker ask me If I drained my differentials. Like I've said, im not mechanically inclined but I've never heard of this. Is this something I need to do after driving through that mud?

you should probably pull the plugs and check the condition of the fluid. it should be fine, but it can get water in them. pull the plug and the fluid should be clear to dark. if it is gray, or water pours out, you will need to get diff services done, or pull the covers off and refill.

Hey Ray have you seen the pics that Orinicus took yet? I gave him my e mail but haven't heard anything. Hey solomon I am able to send you some pics and video of you entering the big mudhole, PM me your e mail and I will forward those to you. The XJ seems to have handled the day well, Minus the fact that I still need to get the vacumm disco taken care of.
