Alright, it seems like I've only run across a few people in Montana on the forums, so I gigured I should have a post where Montana Jeepers can check in.
I'm originally from the Seattle area, but I'm currently a freshman at MSU in Bozeman.
Haha wow. I didn't even see that one. But yeah now that I look, there's another Montana Jeepers thread. Oh well, this one has a "!" in the title so it's better.
billings montana here not a lot of jeepers seems like. i am rebuilding a 79 cj5 mine was in a head on accident. but no worry i can fix it i have a big hammer.
3" lift, although the rear seems to have sagged a bit after the trek back here.
Here's what I drove back, very embarrassing.
highway tires on, with the bighorns on the rack on the back. My dad somehow convinced me that this was a good idea.
The stockers are 245/70/16s, those are what I was taking off in the parking lot. The MTs are 265/75/16 (~31.6x10.5) and they're on 16x8" steelies. Those are what I was putting on.
The stockers are now stacked up in my room functioning as a chair and table.
Oh yeah, I guess I should say I was the skinnier one out there. And the other guy (in the shorts) who was out there's name is Scott. He has a 95 (I think, maybe 96) XJ with a 2" BB and he just got some new tires over break. Not sure what size tire he got though. But he's a good guy, as you saw, he helped me out in the rain/snow/cold to get my good tires back on.
yea, i would have too...but, i work at resnet, and had to go to work after we pulled into town, and the last time i had eaten was that morning at 6:15...lol, i was starvin...
anyways, i run 31's too....i just got some new goodyear wrangler RTS over winter break....idk how well they will do offroad, but seeing as how i never really have any time to do that anymore anyways, they sure do drive nice on the interstate....90 wasn't too bad yesterday....u know where clarkston wa is? lol, thats where i am from....
What up fellas!! See a couple of you live in the dorms in bozeman... Im a cook up at miller (sadly but it pays the bills) I drive a 2006 white rubicon unlimited with a 2" lift... i always park in the back lot. I see the white xj daily and always wondered who drove it!! Now i know
Funny twins with the same ride... My banks exhaust is in the mail i hope it gets here soon, so i can call in sick and put it on We will have to meet up sometime so i know who the hell you are... My buddy i did most of my wheelin' with moved to cali for some strange reason. I'm usually down to get out of town if im not workin.:2thumbsup:
sweet, weekends i'll be ready to go. But right now my PS pump pressure hose is leaking. I need to get that fixed before I can do any wheeling. I just put my second coat of JB weld on the hose today. So probably thursday i'll fill her up with fluid and test it out again.
garbs, what do you look like? maybe next time I'm down there i can recognize you and say hi.
Lewistown Central Montana. Brrr, its been cold here! Drive a red CJ5 with a tan Acme hardtop, anyone ever see me? I drive around all the time (nothing else to do) so if you ever come here look for that, I'm the only one in town as far as I know that has a hardtop on a CJ5, they are rare, bought it from a guy in Bozeman. Now it isn't too bad to drive in the winter.
Just wanted to say hi to everybody i live in boulder
