Unfortunately right now I'm waiting on parts to come in so i can fix my power steering leak and they should be here sometime next week. So i don't want to risk driving into the woods right now.

I've used enough JB weld to get the leak to leak more slowly, but i don't want to risk the leak opening up in the middle of nowhere.

Next weekend though, i should be good to run a few trails.

Have you talked to anyone from your local offroad club, the Bozeman Mountaineers?

Here is a link.http://www.m4x4a.org/modules.php?op=...=viewforum&f=9

Their forum isn't very active but I know they have some good peoples in that club.

Well I would roll down from Helena for a road trip.
Just have to remember to check back here more often. Never wheeled near Livingston?
Got a winch on the way so may be installing next week end and building a bumper/plate, will have to see what my feeble mind comes up with.

I have seen the Mountaineers before. It seems that you'd need at least 35" tires to even keep up. I'll post on there too. Thanks

Livingston doesn't really have too much stuff going on. We have the very large Paradise Valley, with about 8 different forest areas that I can think of, but like most areas, lots of it is private.

Good luck with the club down there. I went to a few meetings at the Helena club and got the feeling they could give a **** or not about new members so bagged it. So I guess I'll just do my own thing, , ,

I had the feeling it would be like that^

I have 3 Mickey Thompson MTZ's 31x10.5-15 at about 50% tread, and 1 Wrangler GSA 30x9.5-15 with about 50 miles on it (still has nubs). I'm looking to get $35 for all of them.

Also have a Large Bestop tire cover (black). Fits 225/70R-15 to 245/75R-15. Used but good condition and not damaged. I'd like $15 for it.

Thanks

I hate to be one those "how about the weather guys", but how the weather?

Here in Whitefish it got to 81* on tues. Wed. night it dropped to the teens and was snowing on thurs. and its snowing again today.

Are you guys getting the same wacky weather in your part of the state?

Even though I love snow-wheeling it felt pretty good to wheel on rocks and dirt last weekend.

I should add that I'm not complaining, I like Montana's fickle weather.

Thats a bummer about the Mountaineers. I've never been to one of their meetings but I've met a couple of them on the trail and they seemed like good guys. I think a couple of them came up here to help with the Blacktail trail construction which is pretty cool.

Anyway, I'm planning on wheeling in the Helena area in June if anyone is interested. I haven't wheeled there for quite a while so I'm not sure what trails are still open. I want to play in the Lava Mt area and in the Elk mountains. Maybe make it to the Tobacco Roots if I have time.

I could just bring them over to Bozo next time I'm there, unless youre in a rush to get them or don't mind driving over.
