Cheaha group ride pics...........

This forum is a wonderful place! Well, we met up for breakfast as planned, and then off for a really great ride thru the park and forest. All y'all were a fun bunch.....glad to meet ya. Here's some pics......Sorry, no pics of the heavier stuff......too occupied at the time. Enjoy!

The tombstones are in a Confederate cemetery, back in the woods.
Note the lesson re the benefits of hub-centric wheels!
What was that loud crack !????? Ouch!

Already lookin' to do another group ride!

Looks like it was a good time. Except maybe for the guy with the broken frame...

I had a great time! Besides the fact of having to leave early for a last minute work scheduling conflict. Definitely will have to explore up there some more.

How was the weather towards the end of the day? I got rained on while heading back to Montgomery, did it hit you guys still in the forest?

We hit a little rain after getting back on the road to go grab something to eat. When we got to restaurant and sat down it started raining more.

I'd like to know when someone's ready to plan another cheaha trip. Never been and would love to go. Just don't want to go alone.

i live about 10 min from cheaha and ride kentuck often. i would love to find a group to ride with. kentuck however is mostly closed now. all of the roads that i rode when i was in school a few years ago how now been blocked by cut down tree's. unfortunate the foestry service does this. the have blocked several beautiful creeks and river's out on the lower side of cheaha and salt creek
