Birmingham area anyone?

Anyone know any riding spots around the Birmingham area? Not mud holes to get sunk in but good trails to ride?

I know the 12th is a ride. SXS challenge then people going to try to make it up a run for a bounty. I think $1500 for the first to make it. The next weekend is the jackleg jamboree.

This is the first one. It's just a weekend of riding, camping, hanging out. I think my buddy has his bus there still from the last ride.

OP- There's TONS of riding 10-15 minutes north of Birminghamon I65. It all starts in Gardendale. Thousands of acres. There's plenty of people riding up here.

I65N exit 271. Turn left. Follow that until you hit Shades Crest Rd. Turn left or right. Trails are all over that area and lead to many other areas.

I've never taken a drive in that area. I'm a little bit confused with the description. Did you mean turn left/right on Shady Grove Rd? Left looks like a few trails on Google. Right looks fairly residential.

All over there. Left or right. They connect to more trails that you're probably not looking at on your map. That is just the start of them from this end. Over 20 of us going on a night ride tonight.

Google Earth is awesome when it comes to scoping out new trails. Its how I discovered most of the trails in the gardendale/mt. olive area.

Choccolocco Mountain
Morris Mountain
Stoney Lonesome
Crusher Ridge
Great American Park

Those are your closest parks.

There is also the Skyway Motor Trail and Gana Trails that are pretty good leaf-looking rides.

Gardendale/Mt Olive trails are awesome. Just please pick up after yourselves. People have been trashing it out pretty bad in recent years. Also, be aware that there are subdivisions nearby and if you wind up in someone's yard you may see some bluelights.
