Had a great time on the ride today, except for maybe the lightning and the getting soaked part. We were kinda asking for it with no doors and just bikini tops. My first time to get caught out in the rain without a full top. Not so bad.

It also looks like someone is going to be getting an upgrade, you can't go riding without something breaking.

Just a few teaser pics attached. I will post a link to the rest of them after editing later tonight.

Those of you that couldn't make it missed a good time.

I think that the slideshow version is better. I went to the trouble of putting the pics in somewhat of a chronological order.

Mac has some pics that he might post up too.

BFD,

Great job with pictures
I had a blast on the ride.
The breakage will be less costly than it sounded on the trail.
Looking forward to doing it again.

had to do some work on my clutch linkage then ended up painting the block and valve cover and playing with a new air cleaner assembly. All in the full sun while the woods smouldered around me and then drove the scenic route to Daphne for dinner with the inIaws...man what a day! I love the smell of Fast Orange! Oh...and I painted the whole Jeep last week...been busy!

I completely forgot to mention that we saw a blad eagle at the first sandbar we came to. Nobody had a camera ready unfortunately.
We may have seen two, we weren't sure if we saw the same one a second time.

I really like the "Blues".
Let me see if there is already something on tap, if not, I'm in.

Brian,

Pics are great; only they didn't show my good side (not sure what side that is).

Won't make the blues Saturday. Planning on taking the little lady back to WMA next Sunday. Anybody is welcome to join. In Atlanta at the moment, will be back in LA Thursday night.
