My buddys trading his current Libby for a Green/Tan 2002 Libby that'll be trail worthy. So we'll be up for some trails in a couple weeks.

Before you hate on a stock Libby, you've got to see them in action. They can do decent trails. Chris and Daniel can vouch for that.

Looked like you fellas were having fun. I drove through in the khaki LJ. I honestly forgot y'all were gonna be up there and just happen to be meeting some family at the same spot. BTW, chilipepper, your jeep sounds awesome. What exhaust are you running?

Just a stock exhaust manifold, new cat (previous owner), stock 2.25" pipe, $5 junkyard Flowmaster thats been beat pretty bad, and a new tail pipe run by Clanton Muffler in Madison. Its a 4 banger though, probably why it sounds so good

98 4cyl TJ on 35s, armored, geared, locked, and ready to wheel
88 MJ 4.0L AW4 4wd. Stock.

Maybe I'm just secretly a fan of that 4 banger/junkyard sound

The end of this month sounds good to me! Football starts the first of next month , so I'll be hard to convince to go out too much (at least on Saturdays).
Holly Tree's website shows they are open every weekend, so I'm good with shooting for Saturday 08/25/12 if that works for everyone else wanting to go?
Has anyone been there yet? I know it's supposed to be a work in progress, so I want to be sure there is a good range of trail levels. I'm still pretty stock and not looking to get into anything too extreme.

I'll go with y'all. 8/25 is a good date. A few have gone already. Most say that it has potential but it needs time and feedback.

Can you camp there?

From what I have heard, it's worth waiting a few months at least... Having been only the opening weekend, I'd still be hesitant to go again this soon. Not to mention entry is 20 bucks and there isn't too terribly much to do there.

Instead of hollytree, would anyone be interested in going backcountry camping on 8/25? or even on 8/24 and make it a double nighter. Thinking of somewhere similar to Bankhead.

As long as we can do some wheeling, I don't care where we go... Bankhead is about the furthest I'd want to drive though. I haven't gone out anywhere since moving to the area, so I wouldn't be much help in selecting the site.
We'd definitely be good for camping the one night, not sure about two, but maybe.

I'm down for camping. I'll bring my Eno and tie it from the Jeep to a tree.

only if I can drive my little car. An hour drive is about the max I'd like to make with my jeep. That way I know about how much it would cost me to get it towed home (trust me, I know exactly how much haha).
