I installed a roll cage in the Little Jeep just for those "out of comfort zone" times.

Does anyone know where and good places to ride around the Calhoun County area? When I mean ride I mean trails not mud holes. I have been looking for a while and just can't seem to find any good ones. Thanks!

Yeah. I know about that park. I'm mainly looking for some pipeline or power line trails I can hit on the evening after I get off of work. Which i have been meaning to get out to Chocooloca mnt. Just haven't had the time.

I don't know that area well enough to know of any trails to ride, aside from the already-mentioned Choccolocco and Morris Mountain.

I am planning on going to Hawk Pride, over near Florence, on March 18th, if anyone is interested. Going to meet up with some folks from the MS area.
All levels of rigs are welcome to join in.

I had to meet a guy about my Mom's old house in OCR, and I had a little time to burn. So, I checked out the road behind the Hampton Inn.
I wasn't able to go to the top, due to time constraints. But it is a fun little trail. Fairly washed out at the beginning. Pretty darn slick right now, as well.

Yea it's a great little trail. We need to get all of us together one day for a trail ride up there. It'll only take about 2hrs probably.

Hopefully I can get my WJ to my place this weekend. Definitely need to get it dirty sometime soon. Haven't really driven it in like 10 months.

I agree. It was a little muddy Wednesday, but not bad. Makes the rocks more interesting......... I didn't get a chance to explore the branch off to the right, near the beginning of the road. Does that lead to anywhere fun?

I think it just leads to that field. Trucks went mudding back there all the time and they blocked it off.

Thread has been kinda quiet.

What, do you people have lives outside of the interweb?

Going to be installing a new CB (old one got rained on last summer), changing the oil, and maybe fixing my small front-diff leak this weekend, in preperation for Hawk Pride. Anybody else have plans for this weekend, or next?
