What time are you thinking for meeting up and where? I actually have no idea where the entrance is so I'm going to look into that today.

I watched some of the videos.... it looks kinda swampy!
Of course it probably not that bad right now. Just saying.

Anyone been there lately?

It does look swampy. What about Citrus WMA? I've some pics and vids from there and they have a bit more terrain it seems. Some of the central florida guys when there a few weeks ago if I remember correctly.

Just throwing it out there. I'm not a huge fan of boating in a boat so my truck is right out.

So that's one recommendation for Citrus. I don't know that area either but I think it looks beter for exploring. Unless you had your heart set on richloam.

Just went to Richloam today. It is very very dry. You have to search for the mud and water. Some trails have it but not too many. It just depends on what part of the forest you enter.

After the rainy season it gets deep out there. Now is a good time for exploring. Myself and Mlehnert went out and explored the West side of the Forest. Had a great time. The most difficult obstacle of the day was an unhappy gator who refused to move out of shallow muddy area. The spot did not have a bypass either. So we had to creep around him as he took some strikes at our Jeeps LOL. About a 5-6 footer.

Check out the Clermont Jeep Club as we ride this area often.

I think I would just defend myself and shoot that gator...

I found this map today. I would say 50 is the best way in. If we're going exploring for the day that's the closest way in for us being on the west coast. It's only 1:20 on the freeway from my area.

We could meet up here.

LOL...the gator would laugh at my .380.

The entrance is everywhere in the area. As soon as you get into the area of the forest, there are many many roads that you just choose one and turn into the forest. Stay on the marked forest roads though.

Also the forest roads will be on your gps. So when I first use to wheel out there, we would get way into the forest and when it was time to head home. Punch it in the gps and it will take you back out.....Kinda funny when it tells you to turn right at the next intersection....ie when you get there it is water as far as the eye can see into the trees haha. (In the rainy season)

From what I have experienced wheeling there. The East side seems to have more water/mudd. The West side is more scenic and has more wildlife. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of water and mud everywhere, but it seems that every time I am in deep water, I am on the East side.
