Welcome to the panhandle! Unless your military, make sure you go to Jackson guard and get a res. pass! If not they could suspend your ability to get one for a yr! See you out there

Its the best 12$ and what-not-to-do-with-unexploded-ordnance video you'll ever sit through. Gets you one fiscal year (starts/end in October) of places to ride, the area is huge.

Daily updated map with closures is here http://jg.eglinforcesupport.com/# Check it before you head out for the day. Do not get caught with out a pass, its not pretty, the MPs don't screw around. IIRC everyone over 14yrs old needs a pass.

......or for 8 more bucks, get the whole year and fishing included! (still need a regular fishing license if you leave your County though.......and NO CAST NETS! don't even have it in the rig)

I'm pretty sure even the military guys have to have a recreation pass. I have been known to be wrong though.

I thought the cost was $25. or is that with Camping permits included?

Rates could change........but camping is a $5 permit for multiple days and people.

I believe you are correct. When I was stationed at Eglin AFB, living in Crestview I had a pass. But that was a long time ago.

yeah just talked to my buddy he said i needed to go out there. so its on the list. just put new ignition on the old CJ and painted or in the process of painting.

This is true, my cousin is station here and while talking about going out (he has a jk) he mentioned his pass was expired. So for the record, yes, everyone needs a pass........or orders from your commander.

Got the engine broken in!.....oil leak fixed!......and eglin res. pass today!! See yall out there!

You have got to get off work on a weekend. Me and another bud went out today. He swamped his rig and came real close to losing the motor. After I pulled him out and multiple attempts at cranking and water draining out the tailpipe, it finally cranked and ran. I don't believe he got any water on top of the cylinders when he stalled it with the tailpipe under water. I believe it sucked the water up into his muffler though. I'm pretty sure he's gonna lose the starter though, so that's first on his list.

About 2 more weeks and I'm on vaca.! It's on then

I lost my starter after some deep water crossing, luckily it went out in a parking lot and not on the trail. I got a new one from Autozone, 2 bolts a ground wire and a plug into the wire hire harness. It's stronger than the old one, and there's no vent holes for water to get into, like on my stock one.
