I am planning a camping trip with my woman the second week of October to ONF. I would like to do some wheeling while I am there, any trail suggestions, I have read about the Ocala North (Delancy West) trails and it sounds like they are pretty easy. I will be by myself (unless I see other 4x4's while there) but would still like to have some fun. I am in an 83 CJ 7 on 35's and 5 inches of lift.
MOST of Ocala is pretty easy going. There are a few spots around that can be challenging, but I've never really hit any of them in the Jeep, because I'm generally alone and don't press my luck.
I may be interested in meeting up with you, and there are a few guys on here that go to Ocala quite a bit, I'll see if I can get any of them together for a ride.

P.S Juniper Springs is a really nice place to camp. My girlfriend and I have camped there a few times and they have always been super friendly. If you camp there they usually let you in the springs for free the next day also... Its right off of 40, near Lake Delancy
Thanks for the info guys, I would definitely be interested in joining up for a little trail ride. October the 9th would probably be the day we will go trail riding
We've been talking about a couple of trail ride camping trips in ONF or Osceloa in October. We always welcome anyone to join us, the more the merrier. You can keep tabs on our plans here:
try lake in the forest as well as a camp spot. $60 for the weekend and they have showers and bathrooms. they also have cabins that you can rent for a decent price.
my suggestion as far as trails would be to stay off the trail system and to explore the trails around outside the trail system. they are much better and less chasnce of running into traffic.
i ride my street legal dirt bike up there when i get the chance and the trail system sucks compared to what you can ride with a plate.
lake in the forest is off 40. lake in the forest has some forest roads behind it really close and you can take those all the way to 19 if i recall. the trails all around that area are pretty damn good. last time i was up there we came across the bombing range and it looked like there was some good wheeling spots around there.
Yea the bombing range is kinda right in the middle. If your interested were going out (to ONF) this coming weekend. Nothing crazy just trail riding most likely. It may get wet, as there may be rain.
What kind of bike you ride? I race FTR harescrambles. KX 2fiddy
