I will be heading that way around 8:30 in the morning. it took me about 30 min. to get there last time and I live off 2301. Anyone interested in making a convoy up there let me know and we can meet at 77 and 20 there is a gas station rite on the corner and we can head up from there, or let me know what direction you are planning on taking and we can figure it out from there as to where to meet up. My route is 2301-cross 388 onto Blue Springs-left on 20-right on 77 head north..lol

Sounds good to me. I'm bringing my 9yr old daughter this go around. The wife isn't healed enough from the back surgery to go just yet. It may be next spring before she will be ready to bounce around in the jeep on anything more than simple trails like up in Ecofina Water Man. Area
Hope to see you there.

I have some pics of a couple of the trails on the photobucket link in my signiture. When you click the link look at the Mobile Swamp album. I just loaded some pics from this past saturdays ride in Ecofina management area

I know its a bit late but i'll probably be up for the next Econfina ride. i've got a question about it though, its not to difficult of an area and there are primitive camp grounds, are any of them jeep accessible or is it like the Apalachicola national forest and you can camp anywhere when it not hunting (gun) season? Me and the g/f are looking for some nice places to tent camp without being surrounded by RV's.

Great to meet you guys Scott and Ahsley. We'll definitely have to make some more plans. We went down to the springs a little while after you left. Took a while to get there, but loved that 65* water! I didn't want to get out.

Yes you can easily get back with a jeep. There were people back there camping with tents and very small enclosed camper. Couple a minivans and compact cars aswell. It's all smooth sand roads for the most part, bumpy but easily treversed.
If I am off again next weekend we can make another run out to the Ecofina area aslong as it doesn't interefere with watching the Bama game..lol
I am free to go on most any evening after work. I get off at 4pm and takes me about 25 min to get home,I live off 2301 in Bayou George.

Ash is down to go Ecofina but we have to wait til after next weekend due to family coming down. If the jeep was bigger we'd try and take them out.

Hey, Rick, are the trails we need the permit for the ones that were gated and locked?

Scott, be sure you have your doors and top and windows on. There's a LONG dirt road to get to Ecofina and it's not fun if you're riding behind someone.
