most national forest usually have a strict no "mudding" rule, if there is mud on the trail you can go through it, but you can't start slinging it every where and bouncing the jeep off the rev limiter. You must also stay on the numbered trails, no darting off through the woods and exploring, its a big fine if you're caught off the trails or in closed areas, the game wardens and rangers dont take stupid BS lightly, follow the rules and its a great time, be an ***hat and you'll be in a lot of trouble.

Most (i know the ANF at least) have designated camp grounds, but whenever its not hunting season you can camp anywhere you please aside from the shooting range and maybe a few other areas.

Check the website for the places you're looking at, also the county tax collectors office should have some maps and brochures with the rules for the areas near by, the ranger stations for the areas will also be able to help.

ocala national forest: is there any mud pits ther
e? - a few on the trails. got to know where to go, though. you could be riding around all day and not find any.
is the any hills, rocks, ect? better check out Hardrock offroad park for that.
and can camp there? and is it backwoods camping or camp ground camping? Ocala NF has both, i've just pulled off the trail and camped right there before.

Withlacoochie national forest: same question not sure about backwoods camping, but they do have designated camp sites, a few small hills, and some mud.

richloam:same question never been, but hear it's always flooded

or is there somewhere better then those places? - i wouldn't say better, but if you just want to go mudding and camping there's a place called 5A out near Scottsmoor, fl. lots of mud holes and sandy trails, and lakes some people like to drive into.
