In 2 weeks its Jeeptoberfest in Ocala, Fl. This is a very good event sponsored by the good people of the Ocala Jeep Club. Its at the Ocala Speedway just off of US 441. THey have 3 different trils set up:

one for stock Jeeps, one for modified Jeeps, and a kick-*** Rock garden.

Ocala aint that far from you either if you're in Daytona

Check out www.jeeptalk.net (SFJC) or http://www.suncoastflatlanders.com/

We ride J.W. Corbitt, Big Cypress National Park Bear Island Unit. We know some people with private land, and everything else is a road trip to ONF, Withlacoochee State Park in Inverness and of course Hardrock OHV Park.

Hardrock is very cool... but small. Hard to do a whole day worth of wheeling there without doing it over and over.

Most of what I plan on doing is road trips.. River Rock, Tellico, and long trips to Colorado and Moab.

Not much in the way of legal wheeling in Miami... none actually.

Closest place is Bear Island Unit in Big Cypress National Park or JW Corbitt up by West Palm.

You might hear people talk about 8th Street in Miami. Though people may wheel out there and the authorities usually don't do anything... sometimes they do and write tickets and impound rigs. The land belongs to SFWMD (South Florida Water Management District). You may also hear about the "Humps" but it is the same story as 8th St..

I live in DeLand, and most everything is out to the west...ocala forest or out in lake county. There is a great place straight east of you though, that I hit up all the time, go east on maytown Rd. in osteen and it's a dirt road on the right about half a mile before you hit 95, you can look it up on google maps, it's massive back in there, just look for the huge canal in satellite view, you can't miss it. Be careful though because technically you have to be a land owner or you're tresspassing, but if you don't come off shady cops won't bother you.

If you ever wanna come out with me and friends just PM me, I'm pretty busy but I go when I can...

You could be talking about Jeep Beach. May 15 -17 2009. They changed it some this year as most of the events will be at Daytona Speedway. http://midfloridajeepclub.com/Jeep%20Beach.htm
