I've been jeepless since 1998, but now have a '07 Rubi I want to get on the trails in the next couple of weekends. I live in Cartersville, but I'm not from this part of GA and don't know if there are any good, legal trails near me. I know Beasley Knob is about a 2 hour ride away and we used to ride up Bell Mountain years ago. Is it still open?
Thanks. Back in the day, Bell had some huge ruts and most stock vehicles couldn't make it. I did a youtube search on Bell Mtn and saw that people use it to launch gliders from and most of the videos looked like the big ruts have been smoothed out or filled in.
ranier, you can get to Bell Mountain's peak by turning onto Shake Rag Road off of Hwy 76 in Hiawassee in Georgia. Follow Shake Rag Road all the way to the peak.
Heading up on sunday. The wife wants to play in the new ride but I really don't want to get too venturous. Beasley Knob was too steep for going solo. The jeep definitely has more capabilities than I do.
We ride at Choccoloc in Jacksonville AL it's about an hour to hour and half from Cartersville Ga. We will be going late Jan or early Feb. let me know if you want to ride, it's from easy to extreme!
The off road park is 2 minutes from downtown Jacksonville AL (Jacksonville state university) Garland from Adairsville its an hour and half, I grew up in Calhoun.
Wished I could made plan already if they fall through may tag along.
