So I am moving to Savannah in August, so I guess I should start looking for a place to live.
I know I have asked this here before, but where should I live? I will be working at 100 ogelthorpe in Savannah, and dont want to live more than 20-25 minutes away.
I kind of have to have a garage as the CJ needs some major work. I have seen some places between pooler and savannah, but I dont think i should live in a cookie cutter kid friendly neighborhood. I want to be able to wrench afterwork with music and not get a noise violation.
Any ideas.

I am about 45 mins from Savannah. I do have some good friends that live down there, I'll shoot him a text and see what area I can come up with for suggestions.

Hey man, I know this is about a month old but there are a few places to wheel and a ton of great places to live right outside SAV. Look in Pooler, Port Wentworth, Rincon, Garden City. Great area. There was a little Jeep club called the Low Country Mud Rats but they seem to have too much drama and not enough wheeling. I go out in mine several times a week and every weekend with a couple buddies or solo. Great thing about the country and a Jeep, the trail is where ever you point the wheels. Good luck and don't hesitate to let us know if you need any help wrenching.

Thanks dude.
I have been looking at some places just outside of the city, but also at some apartments in the historic district. I am still not sure where I want to live, but I better figure out soon. I leave for St. Marys in a couple days and start my job in Savannah August 10th.
When I finally settle down there I would love to work on some jeeps and go wheeling with who ever is around the area.

I am down in St. marys now. I am getting a few places together to go look at next week. I will probably head up there next thursday. I found a nice place on wilmigton island and one a few blocks south of daffin park.
I am trying to get the cj driveable now, while i still all my dads tools to use...

looks like I am going to just get an apartment by Forsyth. One of the houses in Port Wentworth was nice, and it had a nice garage/workshop, but I dont think I want to be living that far away from work/friends/bars by myself. I am going to go back up to Savannah and check out the apartment on Wednesday.
Sharpe, are you at Southern?
