My son wants to go off road....

My son who's 15, wants to go off roading. He got a little taste of the snow and shifting to 4-Hi last week in the western NC mountains when we were up there over New Years.

Just signed up at North Georgia Jeepers and waiting admin approval. I want to get some ideas of where to go in the north Georgia area for day trips and wanting to go with other Jeepers as well as I'm not much of an off guru either.

Looking forward to hearing some suggestions.

Go here for a list and a Google map of all the off road parks around. We ride every month.

You can ride lot of trails at Choccolocco, and definitely the Forest Service Roads above Helen.

One thing to note is Beasley Knob in Blairsville is closed from now until the end of March due to erosion and runoff control. Tons of cool places. You should join GATR. They are a good bunch of guys/gals.
