Looking for someone to wrench on my jeep
Hi all, I'm a newbie and have a yj that I've been putting money into but admittedly on appearance/stereo/tires and not on internal parts to make it stronger. I have no idea what to do mechanically and am looking for someone in Atlanta/Athens area that might want to make some money. I'm not knowledgeable enough to do work myself but don't want to spend the $75-90 an hour that shops want. I'm willing to help but also know to stay out of the way when someone is working, I don't need to be an apprentice and can let you do your job without interference if that's what you prefer. I am happy to pay for work being done, and I'm a golf sales rep if you happen to be a golfer I can get you gear or free golf if that's what you prefer, and I'm always good to drink some beer and pay by the ounce. If anyone is interested let me know. Thx. Things I'm looking at doing: Replacing gears/axles, upgrading trans and engine at some point, etc. thanks!
You should get involved in a club or group. Get to know Jeepers in your area. You are a little far east, I don't know that area too much. Check out Georgia Trail Riders or you do facebook check out atlanta-jeepers group. A lot of people all around metro atl.
Good luck and welcome new Jeeper.
