If you need some help with that 8.8, let me know. I'm considering doing it myself in the foreseeable future. I'm in Fayetteville.

If you've got it in, I hope to be able to pick your brain about it on the trip Saturday.

Sure thing man. I'm hoping my buddy in Conley ( near Fort Gillem) will be able to come down tonight and help me install it. He has 12 ton jack stands that can reach my frame but it all depends if he's working. If he can't make it and you have tall enough jack stands I am definitely interested and I would offer any help I could on your 8.8 install. I'll let you know if we get it in.

Thanks again!

Well I wasn't able to get all the work done on my jeep last night. I was getting pretty frustrated too. First I bled the brakes on the 8.8 because they were spongy and even after bleeding them a second and third time it was still spongy. I stopped and started thinking, then it hit me. I looked at the calipers and they were upside down. the bleeder was on the bottom and the air was trapped at the top. I swapped them around and the brakes work better than they ever have. During this time I was also painted my new bumper from Impact Fabworks. We put a couple coats of primer and then the black semi-gloss. I let it dry overnight so it's ready to go on. The next thing I tackled was the M.O.R.E. upper shock mount extensions which turned out to be a pain (for me at least). I only got one side done and the other side is tougher. So only 1 shock on. So I think I'm going to miss the ride this weekend. I know what happens when I try to rush to get things done, it never ends well.

And, by extension, if you signed up here and haven't been to the northgajeepers site you should head on over there. Ride details such as required equipment and meeting time/place are there.

That's awesome.

So what was an open thread just a week ago now requires membership. Membership that has to be reviewed and approved by the admin. All to find the details of a ride that I first learned about on this forum.

Guess I should have gone recon.

You have an issue with joining a forum/club specific to North GA? The idea of joining is to hopefully cut down on the spam bots that eventually attacks forum sites, especially those that have no moderation. You seem bitter so was wondering what part of this bothered you...
