It was about 2 3/4 hours form Gainesville. I think it was well worth going. It has a good mix of trails.
It's not all rock like Tellico and it has a little more than just hill climbs and rocks like Beasley Knob.
There is some trails by the river that is alot of sand. There is a section that has a buch of tires to play on and some pipes set up to krawl over. Saturday they told us to stay out of the mud because it would suck you in. My trail partner got a little to close but it was too late got stuck and I had to pull him out.
If we had a big group we really could have tried more of the harder trails.

[QUOTE=Louie4;9698102]That's good, well not for that guy. How did y'all fix it? I've used a scissor jack to bend one in place, I've also sleeved it with a high-lift jack handle, and I've also used some rebar I've found lying around.

went to NAPA and got one for a zj, much bigger and solid

I was going to get an Aussie or what ever lunchbox locker is available but I might have scored a Warn 8000 winch from a guy in Cartersville for $350. So the locker might have to wait. I figure I can wheel in 3 wheel drive with a Warn Winch.

Here are my plans for the 8.8 thus far. I priced out new brake parts and it's going to be around $150. I also need to get a new diff cover that's a little more heavy duty. I figure $90 for that. I also need a locker which will break me as well around $250. I'm thinking about getting that 8.8 kit which is $120 that comes with new perches, u-bolts, spring plates and shock mounts but we'll see.

Here's the kit:

Jeep Axle swap for Ford 8.8 Axle on Jeep YJ 1987-1995

I'm out of pocket the rest of this month. Early August is clear though!

TonkaJK -- I want to see videos for those upcoming rides I see posted over at the N.GA forum :-)

Picked up a little Rubicon on Craigslist for $100 a cpo[le of weeks ago. HPI Crawler King with a few mods...been wheeling every day. Lots of fun. Removed foam from tires and put 1/8 cup of BBs in each tire, 11.1v lipo battery. Good times. I will have it on the next trail ride for the slow downs. Anybody else RC?
