Anyone wanna help me figure out why my belt squeels when I turn on my AC this weekend? I got staff duty Sunday however. I havent been on here much due to finishing up the small things on my Mustang.

Does it do it constantly, or does it go away after a bit? Its a serp belt setup so id imagine you might want to look at the belt tentioner/belt itself.

Check your Power steering for fluid, and also the clutch could be going bad on the ac? How many miles?

My first guess would be the ac pulley. You turn on ac that creates the load it starts squealing.

While it is squealing spray some pb blaster on it. If it goes away the ders yo problem. If not try another pulley till the squeal goes away.

Check you belt tension. You should be able to twist it to 180. If you cant then it is too tight. If you can easily go past 180 then it is too loose. That is old school belt tensioner 101.

Like i said last week bring it by the house i got a garage and a full compliment of tools. And i can check her out for ya.
