Is there anywhere else good?

There is literally nowhere else to go legally unless you know someone with private land. You can ride the horsepasture trail near lake Jocassee but its nothing more than a gravel road.

oohhh hte horse pasture used to be the place to go and some of the places were almost not even worth trying to go through then the state came in and fixed that........jerks!!!!!!!!!!! If you can find a gate open (usually during hunting season) there are some spur trails off horse pasture road that get pretty knarly I found alot of them by going to google maps and zooming in and follow the road and look for these spur trails. most people don't know of the trials that go up to the top point of the lake up at the waterfalls but you can find it by like i said go to google maps and zoom in!!!!!!!! its pretty cool check it out
