New to Columbia, SC

I am in Columbia, SC for about 2 more months and the Jeep is itching for some fun. Anybody know of any good places fairly close? I am in school here for the Army and I don't have a lot of time to travel. Thanks

Gulches ORP is about 1 hour and 35 minutes from you. Checkem out at their website. http://www.gulchesorvpark.com/

You can check some of their rides out on youtube also.

Gulches is the closest, but there's also Uhwarrie, Tellico, and River Rock which are all 3-4 hours away.

If your interested in meeting a local jeep club, you should come to our meet and great on Nov 1st.

You guys aren't looking hard enough. There are several places i Columbia and Cayce, you just have to know where to look. Gluches is good for a wide variety of challenges, but if you want to get dirty, let me know. (Old State Rd, Dunbar Road forest, bush river R/R) Sheesh.

Blues - That's pretty much what I am looking to do - can you give any more info about those places - I don't really have the time to go out and look for stuff, would be nice to know where I am going when I set out. I appreciate anything you can give me. PM or reply to this will be fine. Thanks

Not to shoot ya down! Oldstate Rd = $500 fine, Old Dunbar Rd = not there any more, it's developed!, and Bush River is iffy!

You fella's be careful out there!

I'm headed down to 33 for a fix in a week or so. Yall are welcome to come. It's a private park so to speak, and you will have a good time! Check the vids in my profile!

I haven't heard of anything on base, but I have been thinking of just hitting the firebreaks - only thing is that people hunt them and I don't like getting shot at more than absolutely necessary lol

When I was a kid, my Grandfather would bring me on base with my 3wheeler, and I ran the training course. It was nasty then, mud bogs, sand, stumps, logpiles, rocks, and lots of getting soilders dirty helping me get out when I got stuck! I think they use it for hummer's to train on now. Not sure, I havent been on base in 20yrs!
