Moving Oh to Sc

Hey guys. I'm moving to Charleston, Sc here in the next few weeks for work and was wondering what sort of wheeling is around that area and where to take the jeep. Also if there are any good 4x4 shops to go to or meets. Thanks!

I see there are tons of lifted vehicles but I been asking random people and have had no luck. There is a 4x4 place called Low Country 4x4 I believe. I just haven't made it over there yet to see what they have to say.

There's the Francis Marion Forest up by where I live, but it's actively patrolled by DNR and you will get a hefty ticket if you get caught out there, from what I hear. Sucks. I haven't been able to find any people to go wheeling with, I'm new though.

You are going to have to drive some, but there are very good places to wheel (again, if you are willing to get to them).

Gulches, SC
Devils Playground, NC
The Flats, NC
Uwharrie, NC
The Farm, NC

Just to name a few. Please try to keep to legal trails.

There are some good legal options. If you ever want to try out Uwharrie in Troy NC let me know. I came down to NC from Akron area of OH about 10yrs ago. Check out some local jeep clubs in the area. You are also welcome to check out DurtyRoK a jeep club for members of NC & SC although it is heavily Charlotte based.

I am a member of coastal carolina off road. Most of us are up in the Myrtle Beach/ Wilmington areas. We go to a place called carolina backwoods in Ash, NC. It is just over the SC NC border. We also hit up Gultches and Uhwarrie. Check us out, coastalcarolinaoffroad.com
