Mega 4x4 Challenge with a Twist 4/27/2013

This is our first competition in a while and this format has been requested through the past year. We will have 3 classes Stock, Mild build, and Wild. Preregistration can be done by email to Skip at gulches@gmail.com. Email me your name, class and what your vehicle is. It's that easy. We will need at least 3 preregisters in each class by April 19th or that class will be eliminated. Payment to be made at the event. This will determine the number of plaques I will need. First place also gets his registration money back. You must be at the park to register/complete your registration between 9am and 10 am Saturday. Drivers meeting at 10 am. No late registrations after 10 am. Please any questions should be discussed over the phone not on line. 864 449 5698.

Here are a few more details to this event to answer some of the questions we have had. With the driver and spotter not allowed out of the vehicle it will be their coordinated efforts to get as close as they can to retrieve the tennis ball and take it to the next cone. If you read the yellow block on the flier it explains it. Classes stock must be stock with tires no bigger than 3" over stock size. No after market lockers or suspensions if it was not available through the factory for that particular model. Mild will be relatively stock full body with after market stuff. Some truggies will be mild but others will be classed as wild. This is first of all a fun event. Unless it is completely obvious that you belong in a particular class you can register for what ever class you think is fair for you. Courses will be determined at the time of the event with regards to trail conditions. We will use trails close to the parking lot. Stock courses will not be insane trails but cone placement is what will make it challenging. Winners get their registration $ back and a plaque. Second and third get plaques.

The Mega 4x4 Challenge with a Twist Event is CANCELLED. This is an event that needs dry conditions. Saturday's weather looks too much like a wash out to hold this event. (We may open Saturday for Trail riding depending on a last minute change in weather but at this time the event is definitely cancelled and that will not change.) We are re-scheduling this event for SATURDAY MAY 11. We will open Friday at noon for trail riding but there will be no camping permitted. Competitors for this event that preregistered will still be registered for the May 11th date. Anyone who now can make the event will be allowed to register Saturday morning of the event. Folks wishing to camp that weekend will have to call and reserve a site. Please contact any friends and let them know this event has been moved. Thanks ....Skip

No we are under water in many places and it is extremely dangerous as you cannot tell the trails from the deep silt ponds. Also we do open on rainy days anyway
