GATR ride at Gulches

GATR official ride for October will be Gulches ORV park in Laurens South Carolina!

Date of the ride is October 24th-26th.

Here is the link to the park. http://www.gulchesorvpark.com/

All info is listed about the park, but here is a break down for costs etc...

Cost is $20.00 a day to ride plus a one time membership fee of $5.00.

Camping is available and sites must be reserved in advance. (Please list if you will be camping so we can get a head count.) There are full bathroom facilities, a kitchen with microwave, coffee maker and a double sink. One electrical outlet.

Cost of camping is $10.00 per tent/ per night for a parking lot site or a riverside spot. They also have RV spots that run $25.00 a night per RV. Deposit of $20.00 is required and is given back upon sight inspection. I am sure there are area motels as well. We will look into this and get back with that info for those who want to "rough it".
There is parking for trailers as well.

You must meet the following requirements in order to ride with GATR. No exceptions.

1. Functional Parking brake or Line Lock
2. Tow strap
3. Jack
4. Fire extinguisher (must be secured and easily accessible)
5. Seat belts/restraints for all passengers
6. CB with clear reception
7. Recovery hooks or D-rings front & rear
8. Battery hold-down

Please sign up below only if you plan on attending Pleas also indicate if you wish to camp or stay at a local hotel. Again we are looking into hotels in the area.

In case someone gets the wrong impression, Gulches is a public place so none of these rules apply unless Skip (the owner) says otherwise

Just so nobody thinks they can't go to Gulches if they don't meet those requirements

Those requirements are for the GA Trailriders. If you plan on coming, have most if not all of the equipment in case you get stuck, roll, etc. These items should be in all wheelers rigs anyway.

Please take notice of...

"You must meet the following requirements in order to ride with GATR"

The park is public yes, but for our safety and ease of having a good ride we require these items.

Jeremy, I was letting people know that they can go that weekend and not have to meet those requirements. There will be other people riding with you/around you there

I agree with those except for the CB, man I hate listening to it while I'm in the woods

You guys have fun at Gulches. Me and some friends rode there this weekend and had a good time. A good trail is shipwreck, when you come out of it take a left toward that big rock and go down the hill to the next trail. Pretty good stuff..

Be safe

Agree but you remember that Beasley Trip, sucked for us with CB. They are a great communication when you have 10+ rigs or break into groups but they suck when things get chatty or you find out your mic doesnt work while on a ride like i did...

Any more reviews on the park? Never been so no clue about it.

It looks like it may be dry when you go, that's a good thing. You will not have a problem with anything and will be able to do every trail there. Go on the Gulches forum and tell them you are coming up and want to meet up with a Ranger to show you around. Or just give Skip a call

If you are planning on camping, in my opinion, the facilities need a little upgrade
