i think ill had to CB in about 45 minutes....

ok so.... i winched the tranny out of the xj and NOW i'm finaly headed to CB

just got back from CB......... damn idiots..... about 100 yards from the entrance there's a buried expedition who's "push button" 4wd didn't work..... and some drunk old guy with a F250 ford superduty on like 33's..... old guy proceeds to pull up to the back bumper of the stuck guy, hooks up a CHAIN :

something told me to stick around....... he throws his truck in reverse, and floors it..... he gets the chain tight then keeps flooring it..... needless to say, he buried it to the axles..... so here these guys sit, with a tight chain between them..... guy in the truck says "i can dig it out!!" he tries doesn't work...... the tires with the power aren't touching much sand anymore.......i say let me winch you out..... he says i need to winch him backwards.....(mind you the chain is on the front of his truck hooked tightly to a buried expedition.....) i say, no you gotta go forwards.... he says are you sure??? UMMMMM YEA. so i hook it up and winch him out enough to get the chain off. he goes on his way.... not so much as a thanks or kiss my a**..... whatever. on to the expedition..... some guy in a dodge was jacklegging around the front of the exped. with a walmart special tow strap.....( the kind with the hooks) about buried his..... i told him he needs to go backwards..... unhook his strap and hook mine to the back...... drop the clutch..... never heard four angry squirrels sound so proud!! they were screaming like they just got some!!
8 or 10 HARD tugs later i'm dragging this dude (who seems to like to turn the wheel and mash the brakes when being pulled out) off the beach.

there was an H-3 watching..... i overheard him say " when he can't get it, i'll get him out"..... once i started dragging him off the beach the hummer guy blew past me with a dirty look.....idiot.....

but anyways..... nice to see you guys. need to do it again....OH YEA..... URE SEPT 21-23 BE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha, that's worse than that damn Dodge Avenger that was stuck 15 feet in. And that guy with the Dodge was still wasted this morning walking around asking if someone was gonna pull it out. No tow strap, so he was SOL. I've been planning to do a Uwharrie run in sept so that might work out.

Had a good time chilling with you guys, look forward to doing it again!

thats funny, that beach is always filled with idiots, one time i went out there and there was a BMW station wagon not even the suv, that thought since it was AWD they could make it out there, not taking into account that they had 3 inches of ground clearance, and they made it part way out the entrance and went to turn around and got buried sideways

i pulled that dodge out so he could drive to the store for more beer....

i hooked up to him and pulled his 2wd turd out of the hole it dug itself into and we made a u-turn....

i'm pulling him in 3rd gear 4 low steady and smooth when ******* decides to stomp on the gas...

SOMEHOW his 2wd catches enough traction that he almost instantly rear-ends me.

I see him coming in my rear view so i hit the gas to keep from getting hit (we have a 20 foot strap, he was about 5 feet off my bumper) and no sooner do i start to accelerate so he doesn't hit me that he stands on the damn brakes

snaps my strap, lost my shackle, and drove right off the sand....

his beer run turned into a beer / tow strap run. i didn't get a new shackle. an i didn't get any money.



this morning i pulled a guy in a pilot out though... got $20



oh, the icing on the cake.... passed out drunk @ 8pm last night. woke up at about 11 or 12... it was pouring... on me... crappy.... i got soaked along with my blankets and sleeping bag and pillow.

HOWEVER, when i woke up from the rain i met the folks who set up camp after i passed out right next to us.... a bunch of guys, a couple lesbians, and a HOTTIE FOR ME! we stayed up partying until damn near 7am... i passed back out drunk and woke up sunburned at 10 or 11..... i just got home and i'm BEAT.
