Sutton Lake

Hey guys,

i just moved down here to Myrtle beach from MI and it looks like Wilmington area might be the closest area to take my jeep. ive been lookin around and I see people talking about Sutton Lake and I was wondering what all is there? How to get there? is there a camp ground around it or where do people go to wheel there?

Thanks

North end of carolina beach. It's called Freeman park. Basically you can drive out onto the beach, camp out and have small fires. it's $10 a day. There is also the south end, called fort fisher. no fires or camping but you can still drive out for $10 a day.

You can drive out on the beach at Carolina Beach (Freeman Park) or at Kure Beach. Carolina Beach is usually a lot busier since you can camp and have fires. Its also open to traffic 24/7. Kure Beach is more restrictive (open certain hours and no camping or fires) so its less crowded. They are both $10 for day use or you can buy seasonal passes.

Im not familiar with those hotels so I cant say if they are good or not. If had to pick a place to stay it would be either the Golden Sands (910-458-8334) or the Courtyard by Marriott (910-458-2030). Both are in Carolina Beach, there is alot more "stuff" to do at night in CB. Enjoy your visit!

Greetings all my Wilmington neighbors! I know this is a little off topic, but figured this would be a good place to ask...I need the best Jeep guy in town to take a look at my 2000 Cherokee. I think there is a problem either with the transfer case or u-joints, and do NOT want a dealer or anything looking at 'er. Anybody I can go to around here that will give me an honest assessment??
