western NC or TN forest roads

are there any forest roads near western nc/tenessee in the cherokee national forest and nantahala nf area? i'll be up there the week before labor day and just looking to drive the forest roads up there to explore. it doesn't need to be anything special, i'll be the only jeep, anyways. is there a map of the forest roads i can check out (a link anyone?) i like to plan ahead. thanks.

i googled that hurricane creek and it looks like a good trail. are all those forest roads do-able in a mostly stock jeep? will i need 4wd at all? asking cause my tc is acting funny and not sure if i can fix it by then. also if anyone wants to ride let me know. again, not looking for anything extreme.

A 100% stock wrangler did hurricane creek, and 422a, all on bald tires. 4wd is a must. But stock should do fine.

You'll be fine as long as your 4wd is working, or you have cell service.
Found a nice clip on youtube about hurricane creek.

quick question..

those forest roads up there, can you pull off and camp where ever you like? the national forests down in florida you can pretty much pull off the trail and camp...

Yes, unless other wise posted. You should fine though there are remnants of camps throughout the trail.

Life has been getting in the way lately. I know it's almost time to get dirty again.
