Arrow Uwharrie- October 19-21

leaving wilmington sometime friday....

DRIVING the jeep there....

if it makes it, i'm wheeling until i break something (and call AAA to get me home) or i'm wheeling until sunday and driving home.... or driving until something breaks and then using AAA the rest of the way.

anyone else headed that way this weekend? aside from the 3,455,674 suzuki's for zuwharrie?

There's one trail that I would rate as not being for a lot of stock vehicles. Other than that I have made it over everything there with a stock Jeep on 30's. If you have a built vehicle their are a couple places you can play but they are by-passable.

I'd say that a stock jeep could do a lot of good wheelin'. Definitly not kodiak....but there is a go around for that. There is a pretty big rock while going up to kodiak and I don't think that a stock jeep could do that either.

I kind of wish I would have taken my there before I put the 35's on to see how it would do.

a stock jeep with the right driver could navigate every trail.

it's a lot of fun... even in a stock jeep... in fact, i had more fun driving my friend's tj on 35's (open diffs) then driving my locked yj on 39's just because their was more skill required with the smaller tires and open axles.....



i just made a new driveshaft tonight... 29 pounds of 1/2" wall chromoly tubing BEEF! (didn't have anything else around that was the right size) i also have my track bar made and one of the brackets done. tomorrow night i'm going to finish the track bar, install the driveshaft, and hopefully rig up some sort of 4 wheel drive shifter so i don't have to get out and shift it manually from under the jeep

hell yea!

just spent 14 hours straight getting the jeep as ready as she can be (still FAR from ready, but i'm anxious so screw it!)

going to hop in the shower, grab a case of red bull, head to work for a few hours, and start driving!
