I'm heading west on Friday. Wife wants to go to the Biltmore house etc. How far is Tellico from Ashville? And how is it for a stock Unlimited Rubicon with AWT tires? Worth the trip, or a waste of time?

It's about 90 miles as the crow flies, or about 2-3 hours drive. Tellico is N of Murphy, NC; and there are basically only 2 lane mountain roads from Asheville to Murphy. I would say it's worth it, though, I had fun there in my mild Isuzu P'up.

I'm planning on taking my Stock JK up there this weekend and hitting the easier trails. I used to always take my non-modded CJ7 with 31" tires on it. I did fine. You'll not only have 31" tires, but lockers and sliders, it would be worth it. You should try and go, especially on Saturday because I'm going to be there!!

Turner, it really doesn't matter to me. Early would be better, obviously! How many did you say were going with you? I'm going to try and get someone else to go that has a TJ. Do you want to meet at around 8:30 at the Hardees at 64 and 411?

What do you think about me leaving my running boards on? I'm kinda leaning towards taking them off for the weekend, but I don't know how big a deal that is. I have to have them on for my wife to get in and out of the Jeep, so they would have to go back on. I just don't want to rip them up and ruin them.

We'll see you Saturday,
Josh

I told my cousin I would meet him at 9 but can't remember where... lol. I'm scatter brained. I am thinking there will be around 5 in our little group, and I hope your friend can go as well. I would just leave the running boards on to be hones. I think you will be more than fine with them on.

Well, it looks like I'll be driving all day on Friday. Assuming I'll make it, I'm on an 06 unlimited rubicon. Yeller of course, black hard top and personalized license plate. Volunteer Fire Fighter with 3 initials after it. Hope I see you guys there
