Northern NC?

I live in Norfolk, VA but there seems to be a lack of trails reasonably close. I don't want to drive more than two hours to trail ride. So are there any trails reasonably close to the NW border? Even any back roads that are somewhat rough?

I have a 93 YJ with 33s and about 5 inches of lift.

I'm thinking he meant NE not NW, if he's in Norfolk. I don't know of any off-highway areas on the eastern side of NC other than outerbanks/carolina beach driving.
