I go to Broughton (high school). Its right down the street from state, yall state people know where im talkin bout. I eat lunch on state campus like every day, If you go to state you have probably seen me. "Dusk" grey 2000 grand cherokee, lifted, 265/75R16 bighorns. There are all kinds off places to wheel in the raleigh area. A buddy of mine wants me to go wheel with him at ligon mill, has anyone been there...how is it?

It's not legal to "wheel" at ligon mill. There are signs posted at the entrance.

yeah, i've heard its illegal to wheel there but my buddy says he "knows" the people that own the land and they don't care if we wheel there but hes told me that before and we end up somewhere with no trespassing signs around us and he "realizes" he dosen't know where we are. Who owns that land anyway?

I don't, the closest place is URE. Then there is Tellico NC, Harlan KY...etc. Check out NC4x4 for local wheeling places.

I don't think theres any "legal" places to 4 wheel in Raleigh but there are places that people let it happen...

Back in the day Poole Rd was real big but that has been turned into a neighborhood.

Kemp Rd is not to bad... north west raleigh about 5 min west from 540 and leesville rd.

Anybody going down to URE before it closes?

I remember Poole rd. back in the day. I used to ride 4wheelers there before I got into the jeep scene. That was a pretty fun place to ride, especially the jump near the bridge I think that went right out into the highway..
