Well thought I'd share some good fortune I had today with you people.
For a little back story, at 15 in 2004, I got my first car, a 1972 Pontiac Lemans, mechanically it was in great shape, had a built transmission, new intake and carb and decent interior and all that good stuff, just the paint was old and bland. I have wanted to and started working on some body work in the little time we would get for at least the past five years but never really got to do it. My dad told me we could get it done after I graduated from NCSU, that was back December. And I had the car at home trying to work on it while driving it, go away for a weekend and its gone. My brother and dad had taken it back to storage since our driveway was too full... at least thats what they told me back in march. This morning my dad told me he found a parts car to go look at that's at a shop to get parts for my car, supposedly the guy didn't pay the shop bill so the shop was selling it for the cost of the work. Long story short we get their and i'm thinking this car looks great, the paint is new and just how I wanted to paint mine! and not until I pop the hood do I realize it is MY car!! all the small rust holes and holes for removed trim pieces were filled and it was a beautiful Daytona Sunset Orange from the C6 corvettes. So my dad and brother 'Overhaul'd me!!
Below is the pictures of before and after.

It was the biggest surprise I think I've ever had. We'd been talking abut it a lot lately and my dad and brother promising they would help me with it soon. When we went to look at it, it took me a while to figure it out, I'm checking out this 'parts' car to buy thinking 'damn this has better paint then mine and the same color I want!' I glance at the interior which is in pieces and my brother tells me to check out the motor to see what it is, not until I started looking over the motor did I realize that those were some of my parts and it clicked that hey thats MY motor... then holy S**T this is actually my car!!! Definitely the greatest feeling of surprise ever!

Thanks a lot!! That's what I thought when I saw it for the first time. I first wanted hugger orange that came on some GTO Judges but decided on this since it is a gorgeous metallic color. I also considered a bright metallic blue but my interior is tan and brown and wouldn't work as good with blue so for the past few years I've been drooling over this color and to be surprised with my car being painted that color was just pure awesome!! Cant wait to get the chrome back on it and see how it really pops in the sun light!!

Haha, I'm a pretty friendly guy, I dont' know if I would be much help to you guys as far as the Jeeps are concerned. I do have access to a 4500 watt cnc laser and 140 ton pressbrake though, I can make just about anything out of sheet/plate. Gonna try my luck at a steering box skid here this week

Jake is just... Jake. Take it or leave it. I accept it because I know it offers decent parts for a decent price .
