It varies from jeep to jeep if the driveshaft is gonna bind. On my TJ my transfer case is probably in about the same place as yours will be, and with a d44 rear and standard SYE my driveshaft would bind up if the pinion dropped more than an inch or so. That was one of the main reasons I wanted to stretch the wheelbase on it. A center strap would have been the cheap fix. You'll just have to see though, it is different for every jeep.
I just chose the easier way to fix it, sending the standard SYE back to JB Conversions in exchange for a short one I haven't ordered driveshafts yet, so no worries there.

I had to change my name, the jeep is not red nor a JK, back in the day before I knew anything about this I almost got one like this.

Yea were suppose to get a couple inches of rain here. I'll put her in the garage I guess.

It's better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool.
Nothing like a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling. I have a few.
4.0 auto, 8.8 rear with detroit locker, 4.10's and 33x 12.50's

Cranked it up to a CEL. Key trick showed P0122 and P0455. Bad TPS voltage and EVAP Large Leak warning. I thought I had been smelling gas intermittedly this past week. Because I totally needed something else to fix

Do the TPS first, mine threw both codes and the TPS took care of it.

There is definitely an evap leak somewhere in the rear.

Good thing I went to URE yesterday when it was bone dry. Been pouring all day here, which means the trails there are soaked.
