NC requires one inside mirror and one driver's side mirror according to this. Never heard or seen any other problems riding doorless.

For the last 3 years being on military bases, I have yet to have a problem with riding doorless with only my rear-view mirror on the windshield, But granted the majority of that I had out of state plates.

i drove it last week without doors or outside mirrors with no trouble from the cops but there is always that 1 in the crowd that hates jeeps and wants to find something to hassle you about. and i live in a state trooper rich area and they can pick out anything from 10 miles away i just wanted to be safe not sorry and have to hear the wife nag me for weeks

Go to your local Harley Davidson dealer and get a longstem mirror for ~$18. They fit perfectly into your hinge and store easily in the jeep when not in use. I did this (got the short stemmed and are hard to see) to keep it legal but honestly haven't used them in over a year and haven't had issues.

My old bosses husband is in the Raleigh PD and he wheels. Says as long as you are inside the keep and buckled up and a side view & rear view, your good.

my dad is a harley rider and had some old mirrors sitting around. i had to grind them down some but they work just fine. i drilled a hole through the body-side mount and through the mirrors and use a cotter pin to hold them in.

and i researched even more and can only find you need #1 drivers side rear view and #2 any other rear facing mirror and you are good to go! thanks for the replies eeryone. URE here i come doorless!!!
