When are you guys coming to us? We don't want to drive 30hrs every year to wheel with you all

I think I just need to move to Colorado. That would put Moab into driving distance for weekends trips and I'd probably wheel every weekend

We'll head back East when there are some fun trails to wheel.
2500 miles or so for two offroad parks is a bit of a stretch eh

I hear ya. They are even a pretty good drive from me (3hrs one way to Rausch creek or Crozet) which makes it tough to justify the trip. Especially after going out west and running such great trails with great scenary. I've been through just about every trail in the local parks here 2-3 times or more and everything starts to look the same after awhile.

I was just giving you guys that live close a hard time (and by close I mean within 10hrs haha). You talk about next year like it's nothing but it will be tough to plan for us east coasters. Although I would love to join you all again next year it is an expensive trip for sure so I'll just have to see how it shapes up beginning of 2014.

It just wouldn't be the same without that big grin in the angry tractor

If all goes the way I would like the rest of the year to go, it won't sound like a tractor by the next trip. But you can certainly count on me grinning

A few of us have been bantering back and forth about running the Rubicon in August of 2014. I will start a thread up if theres enough people interested . Should be a fun time , and while I am out there I would like to check out some of the lesser known stuff too . Any suggestions ?

That sounds like fun. Silovich and I were talking about the Rubicon too.

I'm 1899 miles away from the Rubicon trail....or about two more tanks of gas than the Moab trip (one way). Another cross country trip in the Jeep sounds cool....not sure I can make 2014 work, but I'd love to wheel with a group from JF. The Rubicon is definitely on the bucket list, as is Black Bear Pass.

Hoping you guys all make it the same week otherwise I'll be doing multiple short weekend trips so I can roll with everyone.

I always camp on Kane Creek Rd in free primitive sites a few miles past the pritchett trailhead and get a hotel the night before I leave so I can clean up before the drive back.

It's beautiful camping in that canyon...
Great looking 110!
