We have our reservations ! I didnt want to say anything , but it was looking like I might have to skip the trip due to work . I got the all clear to go and we are staying at The Apache Inn . Nice old school Motel with a good clean pool for the kids . Its also walking distance to most of the stuff we want to hit . Our arrival to Moab will be around noon on Saturday the 1st .

Should be free for you as you are active duty , and it seems like a nice place to stay . Arches is awesome , the sunsetting against fiery furnace makes for some nice pictures .

Without reading through the whole thread again, who is going to be here wheeling during a weekend? I'm trying to figure out if it is worth the trip. I work all week so I only have Saturdays and Sundays. I may be able to fanagle a Friday off if that would help to meet up with some of you guys.

The trip is only 5 days away. Kids are finishing up the school year. We are looking forward to traveling 6,000 miles in a LJ and spending quality family time together. Luckily our 5 and 8 year olds are great riders, wheelers and adventurist.

So, as I scramble to get my Jeep in some sort of shape to possibly make this trip, would you guys find it an inconvenience if I don't get my front bumper/winch mount built before the trip? I hate being without my own winch because I don't like to trouble others if I do get hung up or find myself in a tight spot, but as the days become fewer my to-do list is getting modified a bit to see if I can at least finish the critical items. Then, if I do have time I will start knocking off the not so important things that I'd like to get done.

I've been looking forward to this trip for months, I really thought I would have been done by now but we all know how these builds go I hope I can still somehow make the trip!

Mo I have a winch, we will take care of you if you need a pull. Truthfully a tug from a snatch strap will get you over most hang ups.
