Boone jeepers.

I've seen a couple built jeeps up at App and I was wondering if anyone of y'all are on JF! There are some pretty badass ones. A lime green tj long arm, a girl with a big white tj, a nice wk, and a bunch of XJ's. if y'all are on here let's meet up!

You'll see me in a tan YJ on 33's. I'm out on 105. Always wondered if there were any locals on JF.

Hey guys, my name is scott, i currently live in AZ but looking to move to NC in a couple years, we are looking at the Boone area for its school system and its beauty.

How do you all like living in Boone? is there any good wheeling around? any crazy emission laws or tire laws?

I love Boone! I transferred here this year and couldn't be happier. It's a very jeep friendly community. I bought my tj up here and the guys said most of the cops drive jeeps so they're VERY lenient. As for wheeling, there's Richland road, a little side street just outside of Boone that turns into a trail, and Brown mountain which I heard is ok, but more for ATVs.

Good to hear, It will be nice to wheel on something other than rock and cacti.
I cant wait to see trees, creeks and mud.

How is the Morganton area? seems to have good prices on land, but that sometimes means ghetto?

Morganton is great, not very ghetto-y at all lol. I currently live east of Morganton, about 20 min away in Icard (just a little one stoplight town). I'm looking to move up on the other side of Morganton within a few years, towards Jonas Ridge. It's a whole lot quieter up there, very spread out as far as neighbors go. You still have neighborhoods with houses right on top of each other, if that's what you like, but there is more farmland and creeks and mountains than the neighborhoods.

Haha yeah between Cherokees and Outbacks/Legacys that is pretty much what half of Boone drives. Mine is very dark green and has the rear quarters painted black, I don't know of any other XJ in Boone with their quarters painted. Mine is usually covered in salt too since I have to drive to Sugar Mountain all the time.

Hm. I'm sure I've seen it before. I'll be getting my lift on this weekend then I'll be on 33s too.
