I'm in Boone and a junior at App. I sold my Jeep last May but I still hang out with a couple of other Jeepin' buddies. Do you wheel your WK?

Edit: Got another Jeep!

Oh cool. Yeah I do some light wheeling. Nothing too serious.

Is it lifted? I've seen a black WK that is lifted with AEV wheels or something similar. I believe it has an exhaust as well. Is that you?

We go to a few places down 321 towards Lenoir, it isn't anything super hardcore but if you are worried about getting a few scratches or dents or breaking some little stuff I wouldn't advise it.

Oh I didn't even know it was a girl haha, I guess I pay attention to the Jeep not the driver. There are also some really short trails behind the mall, they are little more than paths through the woods but it's still fun to just get off road and explore.

If you are leaving the mall by the side entrance, turn left and go down Winklers Creek Rd like you're going to Wal-Mart, when you get to that really sharp left hand curve stay right and get onto Deck Hill Rd. The road goes uphill and when it starts to turn right keep an eye on the left for a small dirt entrance, there is an entrance mirror right next to it so that the people leaving the water treatment plant across the street can see who is coming. Like I said it isn't much of a trail, more of a path so that the power company can get to their substation back there, but it does have some mud and off-camber hills, washouts, rocks, etc. Also don't get off the trail because there are people that live around that area and you don't want to end up driving around their backyard or something.

I went back there yesterday and apparently the bad storms we had knocked some small trees down, blocking the trail. A couple of us will get back there eventually and do some trail maintenance so that we can get through.
