I should have come out to Richland Trail today, but went on over to Brown Mountain since I've never been there before. Was a little disapointed in their trails. Only two trails available for 4x4 vehicles, the rest for motor bikes and ATV's. The trails were relativley easy trails

If you are looking for a challenge go to Callalantee, if you want a nice trail ride through the woods with a couple of obstacles go to Richland and Brown Mtn.

Are these trails (Brown Mtn and Richland) worth driving from Raleigh, NC for? If so, does anyone have a GPS location or address near the Richland trail I can plug into my GPS?

as far as i know callalantee is still open.
showroom: if you are up this way to see the mountains or visiting people or whatever they are worth going on but i would not suggest driving up here JUST to do those two trails.

I'm going to be up taht way next weekend and I'd like to check it out. Should I be OK on Richlands Rd. w/ my '11 WK2 (4x4, Hemi) with OEM everything (stock Michelin Latitudes)... no skid plate or rock rails. What say you all?

Not sure how much clearance and articulation WK2s have but you are going to have to pick your lines very carefully if you don't want scratches or dents.
