If you get there early and stay all day it's worth $5 IMO. However only 14 of the 34 miles of trails are open to Jeeps and trucks, the other 20 is limited to ATVs and dirt bikes.
You can also camp there if you wish, although I would wait till its not below freezing and the wind isn't gusting at 50mph haha.

We don't have a specific set time but we're going to get there as early as we can, maybe around 8 or 9. We want to run the trails while the sun is up. You trying to go?

We don't have class either, and my first real exam isn't till Thursday haha. Brown Mountain closes on the first of January so we're trying to make it before they shut down. They open again at the end of April I think.

Good to here about a trails near Boone. My sister goes to App so maybe I'll be able to hit up Richland rd. when ever I'm up there. It is open year around yes? being a service road.

this trail looks like a fun good start for me. you think a little stock 4 cyl tj could do this trail? if anyone is headed that way, im totally in for a cruise. let me know. thank you.
